Justin Bieber had a message for hackers whom it was believed may have exploited a security loophole on Twitter: beware millions of “p***ed off” teenage girls.
After initial suggestions the hugely popular site had been hacked, it was reported that a significant security glitch had been discovered and that technical staff had reportedly hit "reset" on the system, seemingly wiping out the legions of followers that celebrities like the teen heart-throb have built up, The Daily Mail reports.
Bieber posted: "So I woke up here in LA and Twitter has been hacked. Turns out I am no longer popular.
“Hackers, I send a warning ... u have now p***ed off over 2 million teenage girls. They are more dangerous than Navy Seals.”
The Baby singer later commented on the site: “only CHUCK NORRIS can save us now ... he is the only one still following all of us. Haha”
Prolific tweeter Ashton Kutcher, who had more than one million followers, wrote: “Twitter is being hacked by some Turkish hacker. Ha ha, I have 0 followers."
His wife, actress Demi Moore also commented on the situation, tweeting: “The Turkish hacker is really doing a number on Twitter. Wow!”

Bieber, who has been causing a stir in Australia and New Zealand lately, admits he still has a crush on Kim Kardashian, who is 29. He said: “I think she's cute. And, no, she's not too old for me.”
But Kardashian is apparently more interested in setting him up on a date with her 14-year-old sister Kendall.
Kim said: "I actually put up on my website that I think he should date my sister Kendall. I think Justin is adorable, he's definitely way too young for me but I'd still love to hook him up with my sister."

The 16-year-old star was recently in New Zealand and said he wouldn't mind dating a girl who is older than him.
According to news.com.au, he said: "Anything about 40 is a little too old for me. I just look for a girl who is funny and has nice eyes and a smile."
The singer, who recently flew to Paris to continue his promo tour, said he still has a crush on 29-year-old Kim Kardashian.
He said: "I think she's cute. And, no, she's not too old for me."

Teen singer Justin Bieber was seen bungee-jumping off Auckland Bridge in New Zealand during his trip to the country.
The 16-year-old star took up the activity along with his mum Pattie Mallette, who was recently knocked down when fans mobbed the singer and his bodyguard.
A source said to E!: "He was excited beforehand. He was joking around and dancing. After it was over, he said the experience gave him a buzz."
The source added: "Justin thought it was awesome his mum was jumping. She did great.
"She got nervous at the edge, but then went for it... It was actually Justin's bodyguard who was the most scared to jump of the three of them.
"After he jumped, he started talking about how he wants to skydive or do a bigger bungee."

Justin Bieber will attend a public high school in California next year, it is rumoured.
The Baby singer, who is in New Zealand promoting his My World 2.0 album, may potentially be attending Thousand Oaks High School, Hollywire exclusively reports.
Despite the meteoric success of the 16-year-old Canadian, Bieber has continued his education and travels with a private tutor for lessons each day.
A counsellor at Thousand Oaks High School, Mike Kelly, commented on the speculation, saying: “I've heard the rumour, but that is all I know right now.”
Famous alumni of the school, in the north-western area of Los Angeles, include Michael Richards and Kurt Russell.

Teen singer Justin Bieber was not impressed when fans knocked down his mum when he was mobbed in New Zealand.
Bieber, 16, has recently been making a number of appearances across New Zealand and Australia and extra security was hired at Auckland Airport when he arrived as well as at his hotel.
However, 500 fans mobbed him soon after he arrived in the country and he asked them on Twitter to calm down.
He said: "Finally got to New Zealand last night. The airport was crazy. Not happy that someone stole my hat and knocked down my mama. Come on people.
"I want to be able to sign and take pics and meet my fans, but if you are all pushing, security won't let me. Let's keep it safe and have fun."
Police in Australia recently cancelled a gig at Sydney Harbour when too many fans swarmed the area with 10 girls fainting and eight being sent to hospital.

Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber has gone bungee jumping in New Zealand.
The Baby singer, in the country to promote his My World 2.0 album, and members of his entourage took the plunge off Auckland's Harbour Bridge, the New Zealand Herald reports.
Earlier Bieber had taken to Twitter to tell fans: "I'm in New Zealand! They got no predators in the whole country! I am the most dangerous creature here!"
This followed the singer's dramatic arrival in New Zealand where frenzied fans knocked over his mother at Auckland International Airport and stole the Canadian teen's hat.
Bieber admonished fans on the micro-blogging website, writing: "The airport was crazy. Not happy that someone stole my hat and knocked down my mama. Come on people."

Police in Sydney were forced to call off a concert starring Canadian heart-throb singer Justin Bieber after several people were hurt in a crowd gathered in the city centre.
In a bid to calm the frenzied crowd, Bieber performed his hit song Baby in the Sunrise Studio in Martin Place before telling fans it was time for them to go home.
"I would love you to stay and hang but you have got to go," he said. "The police say you've got to go home."
Fans will be relieved to hear that the 16-year-old was not put off Australia. "Yes, for sure I will be back,” he said.

Justin Bieber was quizzed about his love life on Japanese TV.
The Baby singer appeared on Japanese morning television show Sukkiri where he was asked if he has a girlfriend and if he liked his trip to the Far East.
The 16-year-old said: “I'm single right now. I travel a lot so it would be difficult.
“Maybe in the future. Whatever happens, happens.”
The star, who was in the Land Of The Rising Sun for the first time to promote My World 2.0, said he was enjoying his stay in the country.
He said: “It feels great, I'm really excited. I've gotten this opportunity and things have just been going great.
“I've gotten to travel the world and seen a lot of cool things so it's been an amazing experience.
“Japan is probably one of my favourite places I've ever been to.
“When I thought of Japan, I thought of sushi and ninjas and now I just think it's a really nice place and people are pretty nice. I'll be back really soon.”
After Japan, Bieber Fever moves to Australia where the star is set to perform in Sydney.

“Breaking the rules in Japan ... I almost got attacked by ninjas ... It was awsome!” the teen heartthrob also tweeted.
The Baby singer also revealed he wants to spend time with New Zealand's fearsome national rugby team, writing: “Also need to shoutout my New Zealand fans ... Im coming to see u guys next week!! Im trying to play rugby with the All Blacks”
